testing colour theories whilst keeping audiences in mind
a side project I was working on for a friend of mine allowed me to take colour into account more finely when considering the target audience. i.e this example is meant for a shoe boutique, for middle aged, classy women.
I thought of the QR code being a feature on which communication can seamlessly build without the use of text
Again showcasing the conglomerate which represents my creative research process. I have learned very quickly that my sources of inspiration when it comes to creativity are random and often not fully connected.
using texture, colour and medium to explore levels of communcation
Glass shows as distorted look, perhaps this reference could be used to highlight problems relating to planet erosion
Stains resemble petroleum, oil spill. (similar to that of the events which occur in our waters, affecting the environment)
sourcing reference images relating to texture which I find evoke a certain feelings.
painted on floorboards using mixed media, and recyclable materials In this example i'm focusing on communicating using composition and colour.
in this case the composition and colours evoke a potential chaotic mood.
studying public work which includes text, graphics and use of typography.
This section relates strongly to the project title. Examples of work created for YEMEN, COVID-19 and BLM, shows a wide artistic array of communcating using methods familiar to graphic design.
Strong yet simple illustration. A coloured line carries a lot of power.
Examples of graphical poster work created for COVID-19 allows me to learn and get inspired by different capabilities and opportunities in displaying the same topic in different ways.
a very strong statement. solely text based. white on black text to ignite contrast and steer the attention. red used to highlight ambiguity and corruption.
use of colour suggests contrasts and/or inequality.
bold texts evokes a sense of empowerment.
graphical statements performed on an Instagram page I found. using a strong combination of text and image a clear yet supportive claim is made in favour of black women in society.
colour palette. grey. black. white.
Britt's typography assignment.
incredibly bold and inspiring work, for me to continue to learn from and study. These examples have opened a new interest for me, which I look forward to exploring more.
my outcome:
HOPE
CONFUSION
FEELING OVERWHELMED
CALMNESS
